Forever Gracie Strong

"Forever Gracie Strong" is a beautiful blue honoring the life of Gracie Zaunbrecher. Gracie's story is below. 

My best friend Gracie has touched so many lives in her short time on earth. She was at a gym meet when her mom noticed her being off balanced. Soon after her mom was bringing her to the doctor and on a little paper she wrote “I can do all things through Christ” (Philippians 4:13 ) in her own little way. Soon after that she had a MRI  scan of her brain and the results showed DIPG (Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), a rare form of childhood cancer. She was such a strong willed, loving, and caring girl. She was like a sister to me. She had so much love for different activities, like playing dress up, putting makeup on, and having dance parties at my house.  She also loved the outdoors and hanging out with family and friends. Gracie has the most loving and caring family. She loved spending time with, her mom Maile, her dad Byron, her older sister Zoie, and her younger brother Colton. She was a huge fan of LSU Gymnastics and inspired everyone she came in contact with, including LSU gymnasts Lexie Priessman, McKenna Kelly, and Ashleigh Gnat. I feel she deserves this recognition because she showed great love for Jesus and inspired everyone around her to grow stronger in their faith. Even through her suffering she stayed true to her faith, trusted in God, and kept a beautiful smile on her face. On September 24, 2018 our sweet Gracie Marie received her wings and is no longer suffering. I truly believe she is a saint, our very own Saint Gracie .
