Ruby Red

"Ruby Red" is a beautiful red named in honor of a precious little girl named Ruby Hayworth.  Her story is below:

We found out we were pregnant with her 3 weeks after we found out her older brother, Luke, was in remission from his leukemia. He was diagnosed at the age of 8 on December 26, 2018 and spent 9 hard months in treatment before he finally achieved remission. He will officially be done with his treatment in April.  Ruby was not planned but the absolute best surprise and as we called her “our rainbow after the storm “. She has been nothing but sunshine since the day she was born. She has a smile that draws everyone in and we often joke how she gets so much attention everywhere we go it’s like walking around with a little celebrity:) Her sweet, silly, smart and engaging personality is captivating. Her bouncing ringlet curls and big blue eyes just accentuate her beautiful heart. With 2 big brothers she is busy! She learned how to walk and started to run! Her signature move is “the super girl” where she runs with her arms straight out behind her back. She loves playing peekaboo and anything related to music, especially Cocomelon. She is constantly blowing kisses! She loves her big brothers and her family fiercely. On Christmas Day December 25, 2021, at only 19 months she too was diagnosed with very high risk leukemia. After 5 days in the ICU, she spent 50 days inpatient at Rady's Children's hospital in San Diego. She was finally stable enough to return home last week, but is still undergoing very intense chemo and will do so for 2 years. It seems unfathomable and beyond cruel that she too must now fight this battle but our girl is strong and has so many prayers and love pouring on to her, we know she will beat this. Love wins
